Pictures from the studio this week: shelves of bisqued ware ready for glazing (there is more not pictured) and below, greenware for finishing and first firing.
I am counting down to Pot Fest (4th – 6th November) in Melton Mowbray. Fitted around my day job it’s a fairly tight schedule. I have a bisque firing to do and at least 3 glaze firings.
I have spent many hours this week meeting the many and various challenges glazing always presents. There is always a new lesson (“hmmm.. I see where I went wrong”) with every new pot or new idea. 45 pots so far glazed, mostly in my favourite ash glaze. Think I’ve got about the same to go- and then the clean up!
